Jamie Brittain, co-creator of Skins, confirmed this morning on Twitter than Skins series 5, if it is commissioned, and they will hold open auditions for a new cast.
To clarify. Skins will hopefully have a fifth series, but we have not yet been re-commissioned. It will have a new cast. We will hold open auditions to cast it. I don’t know any details beyond that. We’re still working on series 4!

I don’t blame the cast of this series.. the actors are all really talented (besides Katie), and the characters have a solid foundation, but the story lines were terribly constructed and disjointed. Hopefully season 4 with be better, because I did see potential in s3

ARRRGGGG!!!! imsoooo pissed i love this CAST OMFG!!!! awww man!!! arg well on the other hand i did fell this way when they said that about the first cast, i think instead of getting a whole new cast they should mash the new one and old one together or something im dying to know what happend to cassie and sid and tony and all of them and i love emaily and naomi well basicly evreyone from the new part except katie and cook well cokkos ok i guess lol but arg! cnot a cvery good thing making a new cast im so in shambles i guess u can tell lol!!

i am glade for a change i really hate all this hype about emily and naomi, it’s like ok they are lesbian get over it who the fuck cares. Personally i can care less if they broke up. Naomi and cook would of been a better idea (a feminist with a jack ass) now that’s interesting!!!
yes i definitely agree, season three was a big disappointment compared to first two seasons. i think the characters were just a lot easier to identify. And like said, i dont blame the cast either, its just that some actors are simply more lovable and sympathetic than others. i really hope that season 4 will be better and i cant wait the whole new cast in season 5

why can’t jamie britain film skins with the remaing cast or series 3 and now series 5 i dont think that theres enough of skins tbf. i would quite like to see skins season 5 with the same cast but maybe add some new charcters to spoce things up a little.

1st part was kinda lame
2nd part was much cooler and funnier thanfirt
But 3rd part…it was EPIC!

I have absolutely loved skins series three, i cannot wait for series four! Although I loved the first two series’, i definitely think this cast appeals to more people! I love skins
I didn’t think series three was that bad… I kind liked it once I got used to it. At first I hated it and wished for the old cast to come back but overall it was really entertaining. I miss Tony though

How awesome would it be to get a role for season 5 on skins? If only I lived in england, I might be able to audition. Like, Kaya who plays effy had no prior experience in acting but she got the role. that mad. lol

im really not liking the new series because
1)they’re repeating storylines, like stalkers and family members that will obviously die
2)the characters aren’t as likable
3)i only like pandora and thomas and they’ve gone and messed up their characters
4)Effy was a much stronger character when she went to warehouses and got high on crack
5) i want to know what happened to the first cast!!!!
6)it’s not as cleverly done, i loved the episode where Tony had that trip in the nightclub
7) They will never be able to top an ending like Tony and Sid stealing Chris’ coffin and gatecrashing the funeral!
