Late Gossip
Okay so I’m a bit late with this but I was watching back some of T4 on the Beach and Kaya Scodelario (Effy) revealed she is dating Nicholas Hoult (Tony). Aww.

Skins star Joe Dempsie has landed a role in Doctor Who.
The actor, who plays wildchild Chris in the E4 teen drama, will appear as a soldier who sees his comrades murdered by aliens.
However, he admitted that he had never watched the sci-fi hit before taking the part.
He told The Mirror: "I play a misguided soldier. To be honest I’d never seen the show before."
Other guest stars lined up for the fourth series include Alex Kingston, Sarah Lancashire and Felicity Kendal.

Alex: Seriously, there’s mountains of Skins related news atm..

Reading’s celebrities have gone Keepy Uppy crazy and are backing the Post’s campaign to save the mighty Royals from relegation.
Since the Post began its Keepy Uppy campaign on February 22, there has been a dramatic change in the Royals’ fortunes with a defeat followed by two wins, taking them to 14th in the Premier League table.
Local stars including indie band The Hoosiers, Skins actor Nick Hoult, Hollyoaks heartthrob Ricky Whittle and Pirates of the Caribbean star Winston Ellis have all pledged their support for Reading FC, who take on Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
Ex-Ranelagh School pupil Nick, Winston and Irwin Sparkes, lead singer of Brit-nominated The Hoosiers, have all spent hours cheering on the lads at Madejski Stadium.
Eighteen-year-old Nick, who also appeared alongside Hugh Grant in hit film About A Boy, told the Post: “I am a big Royals fan.
“But I don’t think we need to save them from relegation – I think they will finish in the top 10. I would urge people to think positively. Coppell is a brilliant manager. There is no way they will go down.”
Nick, who plays heartthrob Tony in Skins, the Channel 4 and E4 series, lives in Sindlesham. He continued: “I was born around here but didn’t get into football until I was 14 or 15.
“I’m rubbish at football although I used to play at Ranelagh. My friends and me watch the football.
“My favourite player is Sonko. We think it is funny watching him play.”
Ex-Waingels and Woodley C of E pupil Irwin, whose mum and dad still live in Woodley, is currently on tour. But he took time out to praise his beloved local team.
The Worried About Ray singer even appeared as an animated cartoon character in a Royals kit in the video to Goodbye Mr A.
Speaking to the Post, Irwin – in typically kooky fashion – said: “Let’s get behind the Royals. The Premiership is all we’ve got – well that and The Oracle shopping centre which offers a wide range of high street brands at affordable prices.
“Actually we’ve got our own TGI Friday’s so it’s not all bad. We must also be the thriftiest side in the Prem and are still capable of staying up, so put that in your pipe and smoke it, you Premiership fat cats.”
Ex-Alfred Sutton Boys School pupil, 43-year-old Winston, who will shortly appear in CSI New York and also in the latest Batman flick The Dark Knight, said: “I am a massive Royals fan.
“I really hope they stay up. I haven’t had the chance to see them a lot this season because I’ve been filming away.
“I consider myself to be a good footballer – and I’ll give the number of keepy uppies I can do a good go.”
Ricky plays Calvin Valentine in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. The 26-year-old lives near the set of the Chester-based show, but his mum lives in Burghfield and dad in Tilehurst.
The former Willink pupil and keen footballer said: “I am a big football fan and although the Royals aren’t my team I do look for their scores. My dad is a big fan.
“They’ve worked really hard to get where they are.
“They’ve got their stadium and the team.
“All they need to do is pull in a few results and stay in the top flight.
“Madejski has put in loads of money and the team have worked hard. He has got them where they are.
“I think they will be saved. When you’ve got the likes of Derby they deserve to be in the Premiership.
“It’s fingers crossed for the Royals.”

Murray will take on the role of Mia and will appear alongside Lindsay Duncan, Matt Smith, Catherine Steadman and Julian Wadham. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, That Face is designed by Mike Britton, with lighting by Natasha Chivers and sound by Emma Laxton.
Stenham’s debut work opened in April last year at the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs to great critical acclaim, having been developed through the Royal Court’s Young Writer’s Programme.
The 19-year-old writer went on to receive both the Evening Standard’s Charles Wintour Award and the Critics’ Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright, as well as the Theatrical Management Association award for Best Play. The cast of That Face are nominated for this year’s Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre.
Meanwhile, Stenham has received a grant from the UK Film Council to adapt her play for the big screen.

Disclaimer: The opinions here are entirely my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Channel 4 or any of cast or crew of Skins. I do not condone illegally downloading music. Downloading in the context of the following article is legal however. Oh and sorry if you don’t like NIN.
——————————————–
Right I know this has absolutely nothing to do with Skins, well it does in a way but more in a cultural aspect. As we’ve all heard the music industry is in panic mode and several artists such as Radiohead and Saul Williams broke free of their contracts with record labels and released their new albums for free.
Nine Inch Nails, a fucking awesome band in my very biased opinion have just released their brand new album Ghosts I - IV as a free download with a creative commons license. This means you can download, upload, pass onto your friends, even host it on your own website or Myspace or whatever and it’s perfectly legal.
Why is this important and why should I care?
This new business model in the music industry is revolutionary because bands are managing themselves without label interference meaning a greater profit margin. I’m not 100% sure of the numbers but I think for every album you were sold at £15, less than £1 went to the artists which is blue murder left, right and centre.
By supporting artists who break free and go it solo you’re influencing other bands to do the same hopefully putting pressure on the record labels to reduce their prices and give everyone a fairer share of the profits.
With so many new bands being featured in Skins, as someone who is huge fan of British new music, I feel it’s important that they are supported as much (if not a bit more than) existing, well established artists. I personally would like to see many more bands follow the route that Enter Shikari took from the start and it’s pretty clear that they’ve done well out of it so far.
Back to Nine Inch Nails..
You can get the first part of the album for FREE from loads of Bittorent sites including The Pirate Bay (the one that is currently in trouble in Sweden):
http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4059158/Nine_Inch_Nails_-_Ghosts_I_(2008)
Or for just £2.51 ($5) you can download the entire album (over 2 hours of amazing instrumental music!!).
Or just £5 ($10) you can download the entire album now and get a double CD plus the 40 page artwork booklet!
I’m just wondering how everyone else feels about this?

OmGzzZ G055ip!
Gawd I feel like a fucking moron quoting anything from the Daily Star but apparently Hannah Murray (Cassie) and Rupert Grint’s (Ron in Harry Potter) relationship hasn’t really gone anywhere and they aren’t together anymore.
