Fabric on a friday night is pretty much guaranteed fun. Not only do you get to party till the early hours of the morning, but it’s to the sound of the best club acts in the world.
This week will be no exception as the amazing Buraka Som Sistema, whose brilliant 12”, ‘Yah feat Petty’, was used in Episode 6, are performing and they’ve kindly given us 3 pairs of tickets to see them on Friday night. Also performing is the wonderful Ebony Bones, New York heavy bass champion Drop the Lime and Dancehall/Jungle/House DJ Toddla T.
Before you enter the you should probably be London based (but if you wanna travel I applaud you) and be able to prove that you’re over 18 with photo id.

Heh, this is more an update to my post entitled “Shameless Plug…“, a band called the Paper Heroes entered the Skinslife band competition and the guys on the site liked it so much that their song Jenny Jones is going to be in Episode 9 of this series!

If you’re a band you could be the opening act at one of the Skins Parties! My company do a lot of events for under eighteens which get a hell of a lot of media attention (and these are local events) and these parties are going to have a hell of a lot of media correspondance and for all we know there could be A&R people there from record labels. If there is one thing I’ve learnt - don’t turn down an opportunity!

Alex: Holy cow! Seriously I cannot explain enough what an opportunity is. If you think your band is good enough then think about this:
If you win you’ll get free marketing in the city of your choice (kind of), then you’ll get media exposure, there will more than likely be some sort of A&R scout there in some of the larger cities.
